Dual boot OS X and XP with systems on second drive

This is originally my post however I guess it was eaten up. Anyhow...I know OS X works and I know Windows XP 64-bit work on my system. I just can't get them to co-operate. I have two physical hard drives in the machine: one PATA 250GB storage only drive and one SATA 160GB system drive. My BIOS keeps setting the PATA drive to be disk 0. I tried switching it to "combined" mode which supposedly the SATA would be disk 0, but then it didn't even see the SATA drive. So at least in Windows, the PATA 250GB drive is marked as system and the 1st partition of the SATA drive is marked as boot. (disk 1,0 = Windows; disk 1,1 OS X)

How can I get my bootloader to reflect all this? Are there any tutorials for this situation?
