bbchucks Posted May 15, 2009 Share Posted May 15, 2009 EX58-UD5 MB with sapphire ati 4870, with 10.5.6, using retail dvd install using DD's 3.5 script w/ Chameleon 1 (was using 2.0 then switched to older) everything works fine after i follow the instructions from this thread: on getting ATI 48xx working on 10.5.6. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=155477 works the first time, then when i reboot a second time my screen goes lightblue, immediately black then goes to sleep mode, the kernel loads fine. i can boot with -f -v -x and that works fine in safe boot. in safe boot, i do the install again and it works but after a reboot again it goes to the black/sleep screen can someone advise me whats going wrong here? i am very confused!! sapphire ati 4870 has 1dvi port, 1 vga port and hdmi. i am only using the dvi port.
