HD2900XT stability issues

sorry for crossposting, but no one seems to notice posts in that driver sticky above ;)

I have HD2900XT, tried all the possible drivers and all (iPC 10.5.6), but finally got CI/QE working with some prehistoric driver (EFI Driver Version: 01.00.207).

Now that I got all sorted out, I went to try playing a bit of World of Warcraft, everything runs nicely (about the same framerate as in Vista 64) and looks a bit better (prolly the calibration), but I have the freezing issue:

- all but mouse and sound freezes, I can't get to dock to force quit, so after a few mins like that occasionally I get complete system freeze, but most of the time I have to hard-reset the system.

I've found some garbage in my system.log related to graphics driver, here is the beggining of it

Do you guys have any idea if that is an issue with 2900XT generally, or should I try to get newer drivers working anyway?

Oh btw, I tried the Natit drivers that came on the iPC DVD, but all I get is a garbled screen (prolly FB f-ed up or something in them). If I choose 2900 driver on the DVD I get no QE/CI.
