splintah
hey folks i have been an osx86er for quite a while now i am just reinstalling 10.5.6 on my p5w in my opinion osx86 is still way too difficult to install even for people that do have experience why not make a simple app that lists all available kexts for osx86 with detailed description and tags so that i can tick my hardware and the app will show me all kexts that got tagged with it selected powerusers can update the information the whole content should be easily updateable like iserialreader so you just install a base system that boots then you run this app to install all drivers and patches and fixes without having to scour any forums for files i have one of the most used motherboards in the osx86 scene but still its a pain in the rear to install a new system there is no way to find quick relieable info on how to set up the bios for max compatibility or which of the 3000 boxes to tick on nowadays distros like ipc i remember kaly 5.2 installed out of the box - but instead of easier it gets more complicated a lot of people find solutions to most problems but their posts drown in the massive activity of these forums an app that would let you easily, quickly and relieably install the kexts specifically for your hardware (without having to know every single chip) would be great and it would greatly increase the usability and installation success aswell as taking a massive load off these forums btw i know there is this kext installer but i am thinking of a totally different app at least usability wise its more of a database with installation option you install a plain bootable system then you use the app to get everything working smoothly for your specific hardware
