nightalon
I've discovered that the bootloader in iATKOS 2.0i is the only one that lets me do triple-boot with GUID plus a storage partition on my Tosh Tecra M7 tablet. How can I upgrade to EFI V9? Where is the "boot" file located? It's not in my HFS+ root. Background: I want to upgrade to PC EFI V9, so that I can upgrade to 10.5.6. I know that I have PC EFI V8 installed, but I can't find the "boot" file to replace. I know that installing Chameleon gives me various boot errors that I don't have with the default iATKOS 2.0i bootloader. I currently use the default Vista bootloader to get into Darwin/Vista/Linux. My partition scheme is as follows: MBR: NTFS for Vista GUID-encapsulated HFS+ for MacOS (MBR sees it as HFS+ though) ext3 for Ubuntu NFTS for Storage GUID: Foreign boot HFS+ for MacOS Foreign boot Foreign boot I had to delete the 200 MB root FAT32 partition so that Windows would recognize my storage drive. Note also that I did not use the default iATKOS 2.0i installation, but installed from retail; I merely used the bootloader from the iATKOS disc because for me it was almost failsafe. Recap: how do I update to EFI V9 from the default iATKOS 2.0i bootloader? Many thanks, NighTalon
