get off my junk
Hey, how is everyone doing? I am very interested in purchasing a MacBook Pro after the news about Narf and Blanka successfully booting on a Mac. Once I receive my MBP, I would want to make three partitions (1st for OS10, 2nd for XP, and 3rd for media and document files). I want to do this because I want to minimize duplication of data. I was wondering which format is better (HFS vs NTFS) for retrieving files by the other OS (if that makes ne sense). Thanks
issacleung
Im no expert in file system performance, but here's the fact: Mac can read/write FAT32 native BUT read only NTFS. XP cannot read HFS/HFS+. Mind you, FAT32 got single file size limit. If you dont mind forking out $50 for addon software, go for MacDrive 6 for XP. That piece gets you read/write HFS/HFS+ on XP.
