can't even get to Darwin bootloader

I have been following this guide for quite a while:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=39253

When my OS X finished installing, it gave the HFS+ error...so I scrolled down to the bottom for steps on how to fix it...

The steps tell me to start by pressing F8 before the Apple logo appears...

So I inserted the DVD (its a Kalyway 10.5.2), pressed F8, gave out an annoying beeping sound and just SORTA pauses the loading sequence in Darwin. I'm still pressing on F8..................but nothing happens, it just goes into the Apple logo screen, then eventually I hear music, a voice talking, and a blank screen.

I did a search in the forum, I found out that SOME people have the problem with their graphics drivers on the Intel GMA X3100 but iAtkos works fine (downloading iAtkos V4.0i right now)

Although the download is gonna take about 14 hours (because of p2p throttling)...I just want to know if there is a way to fix my F8 problem >.> because if F8 doesn't work...then I can't even type the command...

My laptop specs:

Sony VAIO VGN-NR280E

Intel Centrino Duo T5450 1.66ghz

Mushkin 2x2gb DDR2 667

Fujitsu 200gb SATA HDD

Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics
