All Vaio users are tring to discover a way to make the internal display works, but, at this moment, no result has been found. blade007 Posted October 7, 2008 Share Posted October 7, 2008 Hi Guys, I know the all of the issues with Sony Vaio with GeForce cards and I have one. I have been playing around for ages now but with my limited knowledge I havent got very far. Searching the net I dont seem to find anything new being talked about. Has this just died a death and given up on the Sony issues. I just cant see how there would be no possible way to make the internal screen work as it reconise's it in VESA mode. Are there any other conclusions like is it just a driver issue but no one knows how to make a driver. Before anyone say's it (like they have before in the past) I know it works via an external monitor but that defeats the object of having a laptop. Cheers in advance. jlvaio Posted October 8, 2008 Share Posted October 8, 2008 i think people with vaio must do something like a data bank like ioreg ,edid, lcpi, working kext hcl links working update because many of them have similar spec for two reason : 1 is someone new user or old user don t waste time for searching and testing the thing they need, the kind of distro;and to make only one topic because lot of user search for themselves and the next have to do the same work too many topics are not good for solution 2 the second argument is if there someone who s interrested by searching or develloping solution to enable internal screen will need adatabase first about the problem and i think one of the problem is there s not a lot osx86 develloper who had vaio to test or work on hope that help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
