timme Posted July 26, 2008 Share Posted July 26, 2008 Hello, I got my 8800GT (ID 0x0611) working under 10.5.3 (Kalyway with combo update) with Chameleon EFI and the string from EFI Studio, but I can only chose resolutions up to 1280x1024, nothing higher. I need 1440x900 for my TFT. QE/CI is working and the card is recognized correctly in the system profiler. I added the device ID to GeForce.kext, NVDANV50Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext, without success. I tried booting with "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32" -v, but it boots with the old resolution from before (1280x960 or something). Did I set the device ID the right way? Maybe I forgot a kext? I really tried a lot of stuff, but I'm kind of running out of ideas Maybe someone who got the 8800GT running with proper resolutions could share her/his kexts? Assuming it's a kext problem. I had the same problem when using NVinjector/NVinstall before, so it's definately not the EFI string. My system: Intel C2D E7200 Gigabyte P35-DS3-L 4GB RAM Kalyway 10.5.1 Install, Kalyway 10.5.3 Combo Update I hope the description was detailed, please ask if anything important is missing. I really appreciate any help on the issue. Had some great help from the people on #osx86 already and I thought I might collect all information on the problem here, maybe someone has an idea.
