ATI x1950XT vs 2600XT vs HD3650

I have an OSx86 10.5.2 system currently using an ATI x1950XT 256MB card (625Mhz Core/900 Mhz Memory GDDR3 256-bit bus). The main goal is fast Aperture edits and it works ok but still gets laggy when you put a straighten or sharpen filter onto an image. As you probably already know, Aperture runs all its edits in the GPU so the video card is the main performance factor here. I'm wondering if the 256MB of graphics memory is holding me back here.

I have a few reasonably priced options for upgrades:

- Diamond ATI HD2600XT 512MB GDDR3 128-bit bus 800 Mhz Core/900 Mhz Memory 128-bit bus

- Diamond Radeon HD 3650 512MB GDDR2 725Mhz Core/800Mhz Memory 128-bit bus

- VisionTek HD 3650 512MB DDR2 725Mhz Core/800Mhz Memory 128-bit bus

- VisionTek HD 3650 1GB DDR2 725Mhz Core/800Mhz Memory 128-bit bus

and wanted to get some thoughts and experiences from anybody here on:

- Can I get it working with OSx86 (QE/CI supported)

- Opinions on whether it would be an improvement over the existing x1950XT

- What would better options be in the <$100 range?

Keep your current card, you wont see any real increase in those apps by changing your current video card.
