Cerastez Posted May 4, 2010 Share Posted May 4, 2010 Dell Latitude 110L Pentium® M Processor 725 (1.6 GHz) Intel® 910GML chipset with UMA graphics Audio Type - AC97 Bios A04 Boot off the 10.5.6 iPC final disk and install: iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Base System 9.5.0 voodoo kernel Video Intel GMA900 (915 doesn't work) Chipset LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA AppleSMBIOS AnV MacBookPro Restart and boot off your hard drive with -f Plug in a USB keyboard & mouse Open up the 10.5.6 iPC final disk, find and copy the following bundles to your hard drive ACPIFix, PS2FixKeyboard, Seatbelt, AppleAC97Audio and OpenHaltRestart Right clicked to view contents Opened the .pax.gx file. A folder named System will appear, look inside and locate the kext file(s) Use Kext Helper to install the kexts Repeat for each bundle. Restart. Shutdown and boot off of the 10.5.6 iPC final disk Uncheck iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Base System Check 9.5.0 voodoo kernel Check Video Intel GMA900 (915 doesn't work) Check Chipset LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA Check AppleSMBIOS AnV MacBookPro Install. Cerastez Posted June 6, 2010 Author Share Posted June 6, 2010 Wireless Card The Latitude 110L was shipped with one of four possible wireless cards. I was lucky and had an Intel Corporation 82562ET/EZ/GT/GZ. It works right out of the box, no drivers needed to be installed. A friend of mine bought a latitude 110L, and the wireless card that it came with was so incompatible that he never could get it to work and ended up buying the same card that I had on ebay. I used OSx86 tools to determine the model number of my wireless controller. Wired Ethernet The wired ethernet is a PRO/100 VE. The iPC 10.5.6 installation disk has a PRO/100 VE kext that works with it. Clamshell Display Fix Installing the Clamshell Display Fix will make it so your Latitude will sleep when the laptop is closed and its little green light will pulse, just like a real Mac. Random Kernel Panic on start-up If you are having occasional kernel panics on start-up, use OSx86 Tools, run all of the system maintenance tasks that it has and re-start. When you say you are starting off the DVD, do you mean that you are about to install off the DVD for the first time or have you already installed the OS?
