  1. Past hour
  2. I needed a spare HP EliteDesk Mini, so I picked up a very cheap 800 G4 Mini that includes the AMD dGPU. Looking forward to creating an EFI for it that works with the RX560.
  3. @iwissem, Please test these kexts, I hope it works. Due to my real-life projects, I believe I won't have much time in the next few days. Besides, I'm rusty in dealing with AppleHDA Patch. Anyway, let me know if there have been any significant changes. Use layoutID=33. ALCHeadphoneStaticFix.sh AppleALC_V5.kext.zip AppleALC_V6.kext.zip AppleALC_V7.kext.zip
  4. Today
  5. Yes, thanks I will try with VoodooHDA. It has been a mess in my old head so I might have tried that already but I will have a go again and see if it fixes it. Some more problems might have found their way in to this old drive I found when copied over the os cause it sounds like a machine gun or an old SAAB v4 rally car. I will also try and find my old Sierra install dmg and do a fresh install and se if that maybe fixes both the old SAAB sound and the audio on the HDMI port.
  6. I afraid you used some guides and patches specific for Ventura but they don't work in Sonoma.
  7. In both cases no output or input device found, so no audio or mic in both internal and jack. opencore-2024-04-23-013130.txt opencore-2024-04-23-013448.txt
  8. does clover have this feature? Yup. I see it 👍

  10. @iwissem, try this: AppleALC_V3.kext.zip AppleALC_V4.kext.zip LayoutID=33.
  11. i was on ventura 13.6.6 and all was perfect everything was fine. cpu full on speeds everything. once i upgraded to sonoma my single core score dropped from 2600 to 1400 and multi from 17000 to 9905 is there a reason, maybe i didnt load a new kext or something? 12700k asrock z690 taichi 32gb g skill 6400 mhz memory ddr5
  12. Anyone? If I know the UUIDs of all the partitions, could I use a terminal command like this? sudo nvram efi-boot-device=GUID_of_partition
  13. If you mean Nvidia HDMI output then I may propose VoodooHDA will work with it.
  14. This old thread still help me even in 2024! The case is my harddrive with my original Sierra install on crashed. I still run Sierra cause it has been running just fine through out the years and I mostly use it for an older version of Davinci Resolve. I have an old Nvidia 8 gig gtx 1080 card in it so there is no reason to upgrade to newer versions. I manage to reinstall Sierra on an old HDD so it is running fine again but I get no audio over the HDMI port no more. If someone remembers how to make audio on the HDMI port work please give me some tips. I have been pulling my hair for a week now looking for info on audio with this videocard but so far I got nothing. Thanks
  15. @eSaF The saying goes "let sleeping dogs lie", with that one just cannot be "bitten". Greetings Henties
  16. ok I kept alcid=33, tried both kext you shared. With AppleALC_v1.kext static noise remains, and the headset mic is not detected anymore. With AppleALC_v2.kext static noise remains also, but the headset mic is detected. In both cases I tried to unplug and plug the jack as there was a channel issue (soundopencore-2024-04-22-153013.txtopencore-2024-04-22-152451.txt of bad quality and voices not heard). So I guess its the layout id you edited. Here's the debug log if it helps -152451.txt is for the v1 and -153013.txt is for v2.
  17. I dare say if we delve deep enough into our systems we will always find errors or misalignments somewhere and I will hazard a bet even on real macs. My policy is if the system is working as expected along with my installed software, then I don’t look for problems unless they present them selves and I am the world’s worst dabbler but we’re all different. Also don’t forget Sonoma is still being cooked so we have to expect a glitch or two. Cheers.
  18. Try this kexts: AppleALC_v1.kext.zip AppleALC_v2.kext.zip I just made some modifications to your PinConfig, just to see what it affects.
  19. ...thanks for the reply @eSaF , there does appear to be no difference from yours to mine, so perhaps my install went well, and just system report/information app is wonky here, mine shows no extensions loaded except for those installed after installation ie: intel power gadget added an extension, which shows as loaded. 20. Hi, please forgive me if I am missing the point in your post, but how is your Hackintool output different from my own, albeit I have 3 other OS installed. Cheers.
  21. At least ElCapitan (10.11.x) should be possible as is. I don't remember a family of Quadro 1000M so can't say more. Clover preboot.log may say additional info.

  23. ...well I haven't reinstalled, yet, thought I'd show you what I mean about my install being faulty, from HackinTool Disks, here is a capture showing how my two drives appear now ...somehow I have Sonoma installed inside Sonoma-Data. Looking at the layout of my Monterey drive{the AppleJam2 entry}top of list I can clearly see my error
  24. ...as expected, though no wake events appear in sys info power now, the computer has begun wake cycles again, two per day, so my terminal entries only served to make the user-invisible wake events even more invisible. if anyone was curious and tried this, to revert last command in terminal type "sudo chflags noschg /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.AutoWake.plist" and you will be back where you began, as I am now...I just couldn't resist trying @Slice Your patience with me is a constant comfort 😱
