After the update, I found trim disabled on my SSD. So I had to run trimforce enable again...

Does it happen for you too?

trim is disabled on my SSD always even on 16C67

To no longer be bored with the Trim, here is the patch I use in the config.plist

Hi. Try to add Trim properties in FakeSMC if your AppleDataSetManagement has been broken... This is equal to `trimforce enable`.

May check here for more details? (https://www.idelta.info/archives/how-os-x-open-the-gate-for-trim-on-3rd-party-ssd)

Why not add info properties... It's not suggested to patch binary files.

Add properties will do the same thing.

If I understand correctly, you're talking about the terminal command

For me the advantage of the patch is that it does it automatically even after an update of the Os.

The only restriction is that the patch can change with each major version

Anyone have lag scrolling on facebook or same sites?

I have this. Use istats and discover that this is overall system lags, cpu using almost 100%.

i3 5020u, 8gig, ssd 240g

there is a thread at macrumors concerning sierra performance vs el capitan

In any case thank you for the information and the address, it is very informative.

:)

So. You can add the info properties in FakeSMC to avoid missing these. Just like what Apple did.

Anyway. I prefer to add info properties rather than patch binary files.

So I made a fake kext to activate the trim, it works at home.

No need for a patch in the config.plist

Friendly

I have downloaded the kext

Does it activate trim if I sudo trimforce disavle ?

I have not enabled Trimforce enable.

It is all the interest of false kext, it is he who does it

Edit: I only tried it on Sierra

I used both config.plist patch and trimforce

But now with your kext I disable other mothods and it works

Thank you for your share.

Yes. This is the same as adding info properties into FakeSMC. But anyway. Here is the FakeSMC with the Trim info properties. It works just like your dummy info injector/kext.

Your added info properties is equal to running `trimforce enable`. This can be used on Yosemite 10.10.4+. So. Must be compatible.  :)

Skylake is fine with the update. However:

- Radeon RX 480 works (metal support) but needs to be repatched with .plist edits of x4000/x4100 kexts – so no native support yet.

- Intel HD 530 works (metal support) with old patches, but I had to repatch the display-framework for 2560x1080 resolution.
