Getting started,

/com.apple.Boot.plist not found <--- this mother f-er is giving me the hardest time imaginable, I've tried and tested several different Mac OS ISOs only to have that screen pop up in my face multiple times;

OS ISO's tried:

Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2]

Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd

kalyway_leo_10.5.1

and 2 others I deleted once I was fusterated with beyond point of self-control.

DXDIAG diagnostics for detailed information on system;

I would post all the components, but you'd probably end up hitting me.

Anyways, I really need help getting this cursed thing to work, I haven't tested it on other computers because I'm souly working on my laptop alone, yes, again, a laptop. Hardware changes 0% (except added 2gig ram >< so much for that, it barely increased speeds at all.)

At this point, I just want mac to work, even 1% of a full installation, I'd fudge around with it later but now I just want to see glorious Mac work on my P.O.S. PC.

I've reviewed some articles here already and it seems I'm not the only person having this problem; only it seems I'm the only person with an HP Pavilion laptop (maybe thats a hint?)

Furthermore, I have VMware Workstation, and that also could not install those damned ISO's.

Thanks in advanced, sorry for the retardedly long post....

I'm guessing you can't boot the dvd? You likely have a JMicron DVD drive controller. On laptops, from what I've read as well as my own experience, they won't boot the Tiger (or Leopard) DVD. Period. You can try doing VMWare-->Native but your best bet is to boot from an external DVD drive (if it lets you).

Good luck dude, and sorry to for the disappointing news.

Any news is better than no news at all; thanks for the speedy reply.

and that is correct, I cannot boot from the DVD's whatsoever

Sorry for sounding completely retarded, but first off, what is "Sata ahci" and how do I get this to work?

I'll certainly try an external dvd, would you recommend a specific one so I don't end up wasting money on one?

Thanks again ;)
