You don't need a guide for that...just drag the dump on the app...enter your admin password when asked and it will do the rest....DO NOT OPEN THE HDA APP TO DRAG AND DROP....drag and drop on the app icon... realogic
As wrote on first topic, I don't mean AppleHDA patcher application. I don't need the patcher. I need the original guide (a pdf file from Taruga) for patching AppleHDA.kext I asked him, also paypaled (that's for the good work overall), never got a reply or at least a thank Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99560-tarugas-hda-guide/#findComment-712700 Share on other sites
Doctadre
um, in order to patch your sound you need to drag that linux dump into the frog patcher icon. The patcher uses the code from your linux dump to do the patching for you. Quite a nifty program Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99560-tarugas-hda-guide/#findComment-716164 Share on other sites

Bart86
It should be noted somewhere that the AD1981b chips can't be dumped in Linux in the format that this patcher uses. The driver layout is completely different than what the patcher expects. There are a few other chips that the same way but I dont' know which ones they are. I've verified this using Knoppix, and 2 Ubuntu distros.
