Hello from France,

I have a problem with my printer after sleep mode ! :)

If i boot my computer then i print something on my Canon i560 USB, all is right

But after awake from sleep, i can't print

I always have this error : Error Number : 306 A communication error has occurred

My mouse and my scanner, all in USB are OK

Have you an idea to correct this ??? ;)

doesnt seem to be related to any kexts since you have usb scanner (is that thing on the canon, i mean all-in-one) working, although you can always kextstat in Terminal before and after sleep, to see if there is any discrepancy.

Thanks for this idea, I'll try that ! -_-

Same happens to my pixma ip5000. I have tryed Gnuprint drivers and a ziliions other stuff to no avail.

Sorry I can't help. However, I must admit that sleep/awake cycle is not perfect in my rig (same as yours) because after wake noise from video card stays up. Very annoying!

Hope for a fix.

Yes i have! There is another problem i think it's linked with printer issue. After sleep mode the usb volumes are unmonted with an error!

Have yuo this issue?

No I have not this problem ! The only one is for print...

I take it no one's found the solution to this? I'm running Leopard 10.5.4 upgraded from 10.5.2 Kalyway install on a GA-EP35-DSL3, and have the same problem with an HP Deskjet 3550. After reboot, it prints fine, but after waking from sleep I get a communications error! The strange thing is that other usb devices work just fine after resuming from sleep.

Anyone out there?
