da_mass
first of all: I would like to say hello to all people here on this forum. And I would like to give a few big compliments to those, who keep this running (and who GOT this running ) Even though it's so well commented, I would like to ask a question: The installation instructions say this: If you have an older computer with limited options in the BIOS(ACPI/APIC) and you are able to install but when you boot the freshly installed O/S you are stuck just after ACPI loads, try installing with the APIC-Fix checked. This will install an Older ACPIPlatform and APIC for better compatability. This is totally clear, but where can I select APIC-Fix ? It's not at the Advanced section. there is an AMD fix there, but no APIC-fix. My laptop has that problem. (you are able to install but when you boot the freshly installed O/S you are stuck just after ACPI loads) Can you guys help me? Thanks in advance! Coadey
You probably need to install a different "/System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext". Try replacing this with the one found on the retail Leopard 10.5 DVD.
da_mass
Ehm.. I'm not such a "mac guru" .. I'm fascinated by MAC OS and I wanted this on my laptop. (AMD) I'm not familar with such technical stuff.. Is there no other way? Or a detailed way? Thanks !
