Hi guys,

i just brought my first macbook (woo go me!)

anyway it was second hand off ebay alot cheaper and alot faster,

i got it for a cheap as chips price of £350, only problem is ...

the charger port has been completly hacked to pieces and it needs repairing, will apple take care off this , i have no warrenty or the guy dident anyway, there must be some kind of way though?

im not so fussed about price just that i can fix this baby!

 

any help would be a great deal!

sorry to be the bear of bad news but your screwed because if you have no apple care plan of even one year then there not even gonna bother fixing it. also you probably have been chipped off so that really sucks ;) If I were you i would file a report for selling broken products unless it was a as is product.

Anything that can be repaired in warranty can be repaired out of warranty, and stores actually prefer out of warranty repairs since they get more money for them (in warranty repairs, the store gets a flat rate; out of warranty the store gets all the labor cost, and sometimes part of the parts cost). The problem is, the power port might be part of the logic board, which would be a very costly repair. I'm not familiar with how the MacBook's internals are laid out.
