Aufgedyng
Hi, I have installed Leo4All, seems to work fine exept one thing, when i try to burn a DVD from any software the system hangs totally, reading from the drive works though. The same system worked fine with OSX 10.4 Any good ideas on how to track the problem? Thanks. SMF
Report your hardware configuration. Lots of people have problems with JMicron controllers and 4 GBytes of RAM. When I operated that way DVD burns would frequently give me kernel panics. There's a long thread in the hardware forum. Aufgedyng
Well a very interesting thread about SATA and IDE with a 4Gb system. It seems like its best to go for a SATA only system. Any suggestion on what brands of SATA DVD I should use/avoid? --Auf Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/97860-system-hangs-when-burning-dvds/#findComment-702897 Share on other sites
