blingingtp
Hey Guys- I tried searching but couldn't find anything. I'm running 10.4.3 right now with a radeon 9800 pro graphics card and two dell 1901fp lcds (one via DVI, one VGA). In windows XP I can extend my desktop onto the second monitor, but so far with OS X i've only been able to get the second screen to mirror the first (although they both display in 1280x1024). Anyone have any luck extending the desktop? Thanks, Mark
LaK
how did you even get so far? did you use some special drivers?
blingingtp
No... when I installed os x it just naturally ran the monitors mirrored in 1024x768, then I just had to change the Graphics Mode setting in that .plist file. I think the version of os x i have installed already had the maxxuss ati drivers though.
mcCoy
works 100% if you've got an onboard intel GMA900. but you need an ADD2-dvi-out PCIe-card. one screen via DVI and one via onboard-VGA.
aberracus
billingtp is running his video card in vesa with no support for QE or CI, so theres no spanning it need to have proper drivers to do that.
