How to boot without DVD?

Hi everyone,

I apoloise if this has been answered before.  I searched but couldn't find an answer to this question.  My Kalyway hackintosh partition was able to boot fine without the dvd, but I had to do a full restore with Time Machine.

However, afterwards I need the DVD to boot.  How can I fix so that I don't need the DVD?  I installed the "boot_efi_mbr" pkg from the Kalyway DVD and that still didn't fix the problem.

Thanx for the help.

You probably lost the boot loader in MBR.

See the brazilmac post and look for sudo fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX ( replace X and x with the disk/partition you restored the image to).

Good luck.
