Ok, thougth so... us with marvell yukon's 88E8001 are out of luck ;)

I got it sort of working...

replace <key>Yukon-88E8053</key>

with <key>Yukon-88E8001</key>

replace <string>0x436211AB</string>

with <string>0x432011AB</string>

After I did that, I rebooted, and nothing happened. So I decided to give up on wired and just install the wireless card drivers that work for me. After I reboot for the wireless drivers, suddenly OS X then realizes I have the Yukon in and the device shows up in Networking. Unfortunately, thoough, for some weird reason I can't get it to get an address with DHCP and when I configure it manually it won't connect to the router. And about every 20 seconds the system locks up for 5 seconds or so.

I'm in XP right now, I'm going to try to reboot and see what I can get this time...

I'm unfortunately too...

my mobo(ASUS P4P800SE) integrated a Yukon8001 chip giga-eth, and I also modified "<string>0x432011AB</string>", after reboot, the kernel extension loaded successful, check it via ifconfig, it show me "inactive"! and the ethernet status in network control panel is "cable unplugged"! :censored2:

Hello

Marvell Yukon working on GUXLK !!!

Only change IONetworkingFamily.kext from 10.4.4

1. Copy it in the extension folder and overwriting

2. rm extensions.mkext

3. rm extensions.kextcache

4. kextcache -k extensions

5. Reboot

I thank "myzar" and "chief"

If you got a 80001 Yukon, buy an other NIC. I used my onboard 80001 for a couple of years but for some reason slow network. Never figured it out though (thought it was a cheap switch in my appartment).

I have now a 3Com905B (old one). Networkspeed has doubled in Windows XP and it's working in Mac Os X.

Isn't worth trying to get this 80001 to work, I guess......

did as per the orginal instructions, and works like a charm!

As a side note, you need to be logged on as root, or su root in console and edit manally using Pico or such......or you cant write to the info file.

I edited the info.plist file but it wont let me save it. Its locked. It wont let me unlock it either. Any idea

System is a Asus P5P800

How do I log in as ROOT.

I went to terminal and typed su root

it asked for a password. What is the default password

I tried admin, root, administrator, password and then just plain enter key

any help?

I have a ASUS P5P800 with the marvel nic

So I decided to check the users. It PPEARS that I have admin rights.

Im still unable to save the changes to the plist file.

Sorry to keep posting but I just found out I have the Marvell 88E8001. Is there still no way to get this to work.

What if I got 10.4.5 instead?

It won't work either. Unless someone has the balls to code a driver for it that is.
