Switching to Intel

So, I've been on an AMD machine for a long time, but concidering the annoying problems I get with Leopard I thought I'd be better off with an Intel-setup However, I'm kinda clueless about Intel-hardware...

 

This is the setup I've been looking at:

 

Core 2 Duo E6750

Asus P5K Premium/WiFi AP, or, P5K-E/WiFi AP

GeForce 8600 GT 512 mb

2 gigs of DDR2 800 ram

750 gig SATAII hard drive

and a SATA DVD-burner

 

So, what kind of experience I could be expecting with this kind of setup? My biggest concern is the wired LAN which I need... Any suggestions are welcome
