I extracted the kernel from the update and booted it successfully.

I think the new System.kext is what breaks hackintosh.

I am going to further my finding's.

I am lucky, I did this update without considering it would break the install.

I shutdown my comp last night and it actually shut off completely (normally the fans continue to run and I have to hold down the power button).

I just came on here to look up something else and saw the update listed on the home page. I went and checked under software in profiler and sure enough, the kernel was 9.2.2

I am really happy my install is still working.

I'll learn to pay attention next time.

Apparently alot of people have reported that the update has broke their install....

So, I have an external hdd that i am pre-installing/updating everything onto first.

I will see how it goes with further testing.

Instead of just booting kernel, I said "what the hell", and just ran the entire update........It went thru no problem. So my conclusion is if you are running vanilla kernels, you should be OKAY!!!~Sling

:EDIT: The hardware I have running is a D945GCNL with an E6600. Running vanilla and efi with GUID partition table.Oh yeah, one more thing.I am running LEO4ALL disc on one build, and retail install on another. Both updated without patches, without problems.
