I have zeph 10.5.2r2 dvd installed but i installed Vista on a 2nd partition like this

1 leo 100gig

2 Vista 60gig

I've read that chain 0 doesnt work so i used easybcd1.71 to add an osx entary that didnt work so i got easybcd 1.52 and i picked "automatic" or something like that on x86generic that didnt work

they both got "chain booting error"

i need help to load my leopard install

  • 2 weeks later...

make the osx partition active.this can be done by booting the osx dvd with -s flag.then write this:

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0
flag 1
update
write
exit
reboot

the darwin bootloader should now appear.select the ntfs partition to boot into windows,or the other one for osx

I installed OS X and Vista with darwin bootloader and it work perfectly :

This is my method :

- Format your disk

- Made 2 partitions with MBR : 1 = OSX (mac os), 2 = Vista (fat), I used Disk Utility from Leopard DVD installation.

- Install Vista on partition 2

- Install OS X on partition 1

- Set partition 2 active with partition tool (I used one of the Hiren Boot CD)

- Boot with Vista installation DVD and choose Repair

- Reboot

- Set partition 1 active with partition tool

- Reboot

Now you can choose Mac or Vista with Darwin bootloader.
