Shimms
Since installing Deadmoo, then 10.4.1 and 10.4.3, I've been checking Software Update, not so much to install the updates, since most of them would require patches again, but more out of curiousity. Each time I have been told there are no software updates available. I just tried again tonight, and to my suprise, an update for each product in iLife 06 was available, PLUS the 10.4.5 update (Intel). I looked at the list for a few minutes, and decided to go ahead and update iLife. If worst case happened, I'd just have to re-install it. I opted against installing the 10.4.5 update for obvious reasons, but none the less, I am very surpised updates are now displaying. The 10.4.4 update didn't display, nor did the 10.4.3 when I was running 10.4.1. Anyone got an idle commentary on why this has changed? DeathChill
It didn't work before because it was a developer version, this time it's the official release version so Software Update works like normal. cavemonkey50
Actually the reason why you're getting the Software Updates is because in order to get iLife working, you must have done that "fake 10.4.4" thing, where you change your build and OS version. Software Update is picking up that you have the real release, and thinks you need the updates. You don't have any idea why there was no updates for a DEVELOPER release of an operating system? I think you need to get a clue.
