MisterJack
hello, i have two partitions in my hard disk, the first partition contains windows xp, the second leopard 10.5.2 is there any way to virtualise my windows partition? i've tried parallels but it doesn't recognise my windows partition [no boot camp avaible] so i've to create a new virtual machine and a new virtual partition. vmware recognise my windows partition as a boot camp partition, but i cannot boot it. what can i do? can anyone help me? thanks in advance, MJ
VenturAce
I guess you have the same problem as the guy in another thread... If I understand you correctly you have Windows XP running through Boot Camp and you want to run it through Parallels, right? That's what I've found in Parallels Knowledge Base: Parallels Desktop requires sp2.cab file to operate with your Boot Camp partition. By default, the file is stored at C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache. To resolve the issue, copy the driver.cab file located at the same directory and rename it to sp2.cab. There is also Parallels Official Forum. I think you should try to find the answer there if what I posted above doesn't work... Good luck!
