JSB
I have an ibook G3 dual usb that has had its touchpad connector come loose from the logic board. Since the ribbon cable from the touchpad has 4 wires and usb is 4 wires I am hoping to reconnect the pad via usb since I can't really reconnect the pinch connector to the logic board. Is it possible? Any idea of the wire sequence of the pad? Usb is +5v, G, +data, -data (not in that order). Thanks.
Falcon351
These machines may have still used ADB for keyboard and trackpad connections (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Desktop_Bus). If that's the case, you're out of luck.
JSB
Thanks, now I know what to research. I guess I'll also look into trying to reattach the connector to the logic board or another ADB connector.
