spodboy
Hi all my memory shows up in system profiler as 333mhz even though its 667mhz and i was just wondering how to check if the ram is actually running at correct speed or not? im running kalyway 10.5.1 guid install on an asus vintage v3 . All bios setting are correct and i have even forced it to 667. Any help would be appreciated and yes ive tried geekbench which gives me a figure of memory benchmarking which is no help to me. Thanks all Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93361-memory-speed-incorrectly-reported-system-profiler/ Share on other sites

spodboy
Its a bit of a weird one there must be some way to hard code the momery speed into one of the kexts maybe? aprodigy
darn, it's osx supposed to be run on a mac in the first place. some osx-components where never build to run on a fairly generic pc. that's the only thing why it's reported wrong. your hardware is supposed to run as wells as if it would be reported right from the system profiler. it's merely some cosmetic type of thing and if i would be you, i'd focus on other things.
