Not sure if this is the right place but here goes!

I have a MacBook Pro which is just under two years old now, about a month ago I broke the screen on it and not being covered under the Apple warrenty I have endevoured to replace it myself.

To cut a long story short I looked up what I needed on ebay and it arrived today. I was able to fit it into my MBP no problem, my problems came when I booted up!

When I boot everything is normal, that is until after the apple logo and wheel disappear and the desktop begins to load. The display goes from normal to a really bright white. Going into stand-by and switching between dual and single display have no effect

I have bootcamp installed and am able to boot into windows no problem, everything looks as it should, so I am thinking this is a driver problem.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do, I really dont want to have to send the screen back as I was planning to give this MacBook Pro as a gift to my brother for his birthday next week!

Please any help would be so greatfully appreciated!
