What leo DVD would work for this?

I'm partial to the Zephyroth 10.5.2 DVD myself. (I downloaded it to install on my secondary AM2 box, but ended up having it installed on my C2D. Actually convinced my brother to move to OSX as well and did another easy C2D box installation.)

I can't help but agree with copperboy, though. Those two simple upgrades will -really- make a world of difference.

Tony, why would you want to upgrade to Leopard?

Mac OS X is no more than an OS. There are really not that much change from 10.4 to 10.5. Now you've got 10.4.9 fully working, why not just upgrade to 10.4.11? With 10.4.11, you can install most applications, from Apple's iLife 08, iWork 08, Aperture 2, Final Cut Studio 2 and Xcode, to 3rd party softwares like Colloquy, Toast Titanium, RealPlayer and Adobe Creative Suite 3. Mac OS is a good platform, but a platform itself doesn't mean everything. I suggest you keep the current Tiger hackintosh and begin to think in the apple way.

Go get a nVidia graphic card.....If I were you, I would bug a $50 GeForce 7300GT card ....

PC Club has the 512mb 8600GT cards on sale until 3-31-08 for US$90. Great buy on a good card. I have the 256Mb card. I'm gonna get one of the 512's myself. Maybe two for SLI.

um well i read the upgrade post but it crashed down my system and reinstalled mac os x 10.4.9 again :) but thanks anyway :):D

What a pity, Tony. If you have a lot of time, please try this way (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=45283); but if you just want a system that can run most applications, you can follow this one (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=74349), most people reported it working without problem, and, the most important, it is very easy.
