Computer Type: Laptop - HP dv9535nr

Sound Card Vendor: Realtek

Sound Card Model: I'm not even sure how to find this. (Sorry) :)

Vendor Id: I know I saw this but I have to check again

Working: Volume control

Not Working: Sound

Patcher Version used: Haven't used a patcher yet. I don't know how to use them. (I keep reading but words keep flying over my head). But trust i'm not really a noob, I'm pretty good with computers. Just not Macs.

System Version: Leopard 10.5.1

obs: At first install using Kaliway, I had no control over the sound or any sound at all. I then installed the azalia driver via Kaliway & now I can control the volume through my volume controller on the laptop but there is no sound. Before installing azalia, itunes, wouldn't even play a track. Now it does, but there's no sound. When I check the sound in system preferences, I see that now the OS detects my card, I just can't get any output. All I want is output from my internall speakers & nothing more. For Mic in, recording & all other {censored}, I have a U46DJ soundcard that I use which works perfect. Please help whenever you get a chance. :(

Have you tried plugging an external speaker set to your MIC IN? I have read some posts with other people's desktop systems having the MIC IN of their built-in sound as AUDIO OUT for their speakers. Try doing so with your laptop. :(
