macmedude Posted March 3, 2008 Share Posted March 3, 2008 After spending a week reading, installing, editing kexts, breaking my install, reinstalling......repeat I finally got everthing to work. The Solution....... Went to Tiger Direct, Bought XFX GeForce 8600GT ($79 after $30 rebate), Installed Card and used NVInstallerV.33.pkg. macmedude Posted March 12, 2008 Author Share Posted March 12, 2008 I had an ATI x1650 512MB card and no matter what fix I tried I would end up with a blank screen and have to do a reinstall. My second screen was always just a mirror of the first screen and the only resolution available was 1024x768. I tried every fix I could find in the forums and nothing worked for me. The new geforce card allowed me to get everything working properly. I now dual boot between Vista and OSX86 10.5.1 and use parallels to run Windows XP while in OSX.
