giantjoebot
Sorry I'm new here, and this is my first post I've been reading some of the threads and the wiki, and it seems like the key to getting this thing right is the motherboard, and the video card. Or am I wrong? Does RAM, hard drive, or CPU really matter? Honestly I like AMD better than intel. I had heard somewhere that intel based machines work better, but I'm seeing a lot of AMD stuff on here. Is it better to use intel, or does that matter? Video card seems straight forward, geforce 7300 based card should work well right? So I'm wondering as far as compatablity is concerned: what is the best motherboard to use? what is the cheapist motherboard to use? and in your opinion what is the best bang for your buck? westwaerts
all components are important unless you just want to play round with osx and win the battle that it runs. the more apple like they are, the better, the better performance, without workarounds. with intel core2duo you have the same cpu with an intel chipset on mobo also etc. and a look at the wiki.osxproject.org Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90531-best-and-cheapist-motherboard/#findComment-646137 Share on other sites
