quick sound card question

Recommended Posts

I have perfectly good working sound on my board.. but i have been wanting 5.1

i saw this card http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=produc...370e87c79f47cdb

It is 5.1 audio.. and it is made for OSX and Windows.. so naturally it would work on a mac pro natively..

I would just assume that this works on hackintosh.. but i just want to make sure that hackintosh would be able to correctly use it normally. Thanks

Edit: apparently the last driver update by m audio was 2004. Via does not seem to have any mac os drivers for it either.

I have an USB 7.1 M-Audio card, Sonica Theater it has no drivers for Intel platform but it does not need it, you can set the speakers with the Audio MIDI Setup app, and it has Coaxial SPDIF, there is also a version that has Optical SPDIF.
