chemicalthunder
Hi guys, I have Leopard working on a Dell Inspiron 1520. I have a Nvidia 8600 GT 256mb graphics card and I have got tried installing the drivers. When I run the package, it installs but at the end it says that the files - must be the different kext files didn't work - possibly due to write protections? Is there something i'm doing wrong? I can find drivers, but there isn't an indepth tutorial on how to install the drivers properly. I don't fully understand how to edit kext files and repalce them with the ones I need. Can someone please give me some really good instructions on how to get my video card working properly? I will be eternally grateful. Also what audio drivers should I use? I have Sigmatel HD audio - is there anything that will get that running as well. Thank you all for your help, Chemical. chemicalthunder
Oh I forgot to add that I was using both Nvidia installer v.19 and 2.0 by punk 92. At the end of the install it says that the kext files were improperly installed and cannot be used. Is this due to file protections? How do I get around this so it can install the proper Kext files?
