CompCrasher86
Hi I have an MSI K8N Neo Platinum with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (SSE2) I was having trouble getting into installer so I disabled all of the integrated components (Audio, firewire, Printer, Serial, and the SATA controller because I'm using IDE drives) When I boot from Kalyway disc to get into installer I get a weird error (looks like it was generated by the installer) There is a background that looks a lot like terminal (white background) and then there is a black box in the middle with a big picture of a power icon and the words "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the restart button" Then it repeats in a couple different languages. Up at the top in the background it looks like a kernal panic. I don't know what this means so could somebody please help me? CompCrasher86
I disabled basically everything that I could but I never saw anything related to the ethernet controller. The only thing enabled were the IDE drives and the USB ports. I have a PCI Wireless and a PCI Ethernet card. Should I pull those out? Edit: Gave up on leopard and reverted to tiger where all is well Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88963-kernal-panic-while-booting-into-kalyway-install-please-help/#findComment-634835 Share on other sites
