After darwin with -v and -x I see a lot of flashing text, then the screen resolution changes and it keeps going for a little bit. Then it freezes a little bit past some firewire error (Will post in a minute). Update: If I don't use -x than I can get to the White apple screen but the loading sign just keeps spinning and spinning. Its been 15 minutes now. Update to the update: About 40 seconds into the spinning, the hard drive makes the same noise it does when the computer powers down and the HDD activity light goes out Update: Tried a TOH dvd also. Same problem! Here is the error that TOH gave me: "BSD root: disk1s3, major14, minor 4" (break) "ERROR: FireWire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure" (break) "Jettisoning kernal linker." (Break) "unknown SIGSEGV code 0" (then freeze) I also attached a picture of the error: Enough information yet? Lorenzo M
I had the same problem. It was just a bad dvd copy. Use a lower burning speed (the lowest you can select) and re-burn it.
