megavolkan
Yeaaah that's it!!! I'm writing these words on my very fresh Leo 10.5.1 First /com.apple.Boot.plist, then EBIOS, for third Still waiting for root device and beyond everything an "Installation Failure" at very end. But they are all over )) I'm very happy now Now the details: Hardware: Mobo: MSI P965 Neo (Jmicron Ich8) HDD: 120 GB SATA OpticDrive: Samsung DVD writer SATA VGA: MSI NX8800GTS 320MB (recognized as 256MB) RAM: 2GB Kingston CPU: 2.8GHz Intel D820 (Recognized as 2.8 unknown) Audio: On Board (ALC883 driver from Kalyway DVD) LAN: On Board (works out of the box) First of all i wanna write the errors before isuccesfull installation and how to manage them: Pre install /com.apple.Boot.plist not found -> Remove all IDE components. HDDs and Optics too. If one presents then you'll see the above error Pre install EBIOS Read Error -> Burn image again at lowest speed possible (seems very odd but that is the façt) Pre install 'Still waiting for root device' -> Disable LAN Option ROM from BIOS somewhere (integrated peripherals it should be) At the end of install 'Installation Failure' with a yellow triangle -> DO NOT USE ANY SPACE WHILE NAMING DRIVE DURING PARTITIONING (yes it is that simple) After all of those this is the happy ending I waited for 1.5 years to make it again after updating my system from 865 board. Kalyway 10.5.1 SSE2 SSE3 DVD needed (He is a lifesaver ) No Vanilla (caused a reboot loop before installation) GUID, EFI QE, CI, PS2 working What now? I will donate to KALL, try 10.5.2 update then report to HCL. Thanks for everything and helping people Any questions? I am ready to answer A little update: Shutdown doesn't really shuts the computer down. Only a black screen shows and stays. I need to manulally shut down it. mentorkyrom
I just recently installed Kalway on my P965 Neo Mobo. Everything works except teamviewer and onboard sounds More importantly the on board sound. Can someone help me with this? I've found various threads that have the ALC883.zips that have the .mkpg's in them. In insstall them and it says to restart, I restart and still no sound. Sorry I'm very new to all this so please break everything down for me?
