My system is fully working, but I miss some cpu-related features

Hi, I'm unable to monitor the cpu (temp and load).

My system is:

mobo: asus p5w dh deluxe

cpu: q6600

ram: 4gb dual channel 800 mhz

video: geforce 8800 gts 640 mb ram

Install procedure: kalyway 10.5.1 dvd (vanilla kernel + acpi fix) + kalyway combo update + kalyway 10.5.2 vanilla kernel + latest nvinject + all apple updates

All is fine (pro applications, time machine, etc...), but I'd like to monitor the cpu.

With Activity Monitor I'm able to watch how each core is loaded, but how can I monitor the cpu temp?

By the way, I rember that it's possible to show the cpu graph on the upper bar, but I can't find the pref pane in the System Preferneces.

Thanks in advance

You want the Temperature Monitor program if you have a revision B chip then your temps will be 15-20C higher than they actually are and iStat Menus will give you a CPU graph plus more in the menu bar.

I have a G0 step cpu.

Istat only shows the hd temp.

So that is why you need the already mentioned Temperature Monitor program it works well, Google on it with OS X on the end of the search and you will find it.

what is your cpu score in xbench?

take a look also at this thread we have almost the same hardware+ram+same updates, kernel, distro

so you could help ,at least for the cpu perfomance
