Chipmiester
ok when i try to install OS X, it doesnt mount my hard drive anymore. so i booted with -s, and then typed mount -a(to try to mount all the drives there are). well after mount -a it says this: disk1s2: device is write locked. disk1s2: device is write locked. disk1s2: device is write locked. -sh-2.05b# Jan 5 16:40:13 launchd: mkdir("/var/launchd"): No such file or directory what is wrong this time around? i have tried erasing the entire drive a few times but i just cant seem to boot the install properly(well, it can boot after 30 mins idling at the blue screen with mouse working, but it is extreme slow there) anyone know what is wrong? ***edit*** well i have tracked down the error by the method of trial and error. i can know say that the ram is being fully loaded to the max(that is my theory since it is making so many ram drives) because the hard drive is not properly partitioned. i have gotten one of my two partitions working and mounting ok, just gotta get the second one to work and i should be good

jbjonas
is your disk1s2 an NTFS partition? Maybe when you use the -a parameter it is trying to mount everything- including NTFS drives- as read-write, and NTFS support in OSX is 'read-only' ONLY. Chipmiester
they are NTFS Would FAT32 work for OS X? ***edit*** tried FAT32, doesnt resolve my problem of them being locked. would it matter if i had windows server 2000 datacenter on one partition?
