Hi everyone, here's my problem...

After installing Kalyway's OS X using either GUID or MBR option, I don't understand why my OS X will just hang at the bootscreen. It'll show Darwin, then the bootscreen with the little spiral circle going, but after awhile the spiral will just stop, and I've waited 45 minutes and still nothing? Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

My specs:

ASUS P5K-E motherboard

2 GBs of RAM -- 1066 MHz

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU

nVidia GeForce 8600GT video card

Sound Blaster X-Fi PCI sound card (used for recording vocals)

Western Digital 1600JS and 2500JS (1600JS is for Mac, 2500JS is for Windows)

TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N/Samsung SATA DVD+/-RW

I don't understand... can anyone please help? What can I do to bypass the bootscreen without any hangs? Thanks in advance!

wow, no kernel panics or anything before that?

I'm really not sure! did you try -x.. see if the OS will load that way? if it does it's most likely a driver or setting issue.

Try booting with cpus=1 too, I've read that dual cores can sometims freak out
