fun.carli
Comp specs: Mobo: Abit fatality AA8XE CPU: Intel p4 640 Memory: 2x512 G.skill ddr2 667 Video: Radeon x550 HD: Samsung 320 sata 2 Sound: from mobo I installed Jas 10.4.8 on this setup and chose the intel and video drivers. Install completes without a hitch, but at the restart it goes to the gray screen with the apple and then after that I have nothing but a black screen. Does anyone know what went wrong? Thanks in advance for the help! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/86853-jas-1048-install-issue/ Share on other sites
fun.carli
I tried booting in safe boot and now I get a white screen that just hangs. The only error reported was airport driver related, which really shouldn't be an issue with me. Dash-T
Which video drivers did you install at setup? Try it again while leaving out the extra video drivers. boba899
I had this problem during my very very first OSX86 install. Figured it was because I installed multiple graphics kexts and/or ones which weren't suitable for my ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. The solution was to leave all optional kexts uninstalled, and use Callisto b008 after the install. I'm not sure what the support of your card is like on Callisto, though.Titan would probably give you the black screen. Check the wiki to see what other users have installed for you're card.I had this problem during my very very first OSX86 install. Thanks so much! I got it going with just the intel kexts and all seems well. Now I just need to figure out how to get sound and a decent wireless option.
