SpeedfreaK
hey, i made a movie for school with imovie and the movie starts with a title screen and after that title, there are clips. but when i export the project (i tried it as a movie and with quicktime) and i open the movie after exporting i get just the title screen and the music. after the title screen, the movie is black. how can i solve this problem? (i need this movie for school, so help would be appreciated) the original movie files are in avi and are on my usb stick, but imovie copies those files to the project folder. and the coding of the movie is extremely short (like 2 minutes for a 1 minute movie) is that normal? edit: the black screen is by every movie that i make (except the titles made in imovie: those are visible in the end movie)solutions? Narla
I am having the same problem. I have a deadline and searching for the answers are getting to be quite frustrating. Did someone answer this and I just don't see it? Did you resolve the problem? If so, do you have a link that you can leave for me please? Thanks in Advance, Narla
mschilling
I read that avi files are not supported in imovie. Not sure what the workaround is for that, but maybe simple like resave the clips in another format with Quicktime before importing into imovie. SticMAC™
I can Confirm, this way works! I have however gone back to iMovieHD that came with iLife6 as it has much more editing features that is only available in iMovie 08 through plugins(money), although it might be a little restrictive, it import most AVI'sand I only do basic editing with it, for everything else I use Adobe Premiere PRO SticMAN I read that avi files are not supported in imovie. Not sure what the workaround is for that, but maybe simple like resave the clips in another format with Quicktime before importing into imovie.
