coolaks
Hi guys I use the DG33FB motherboard from Intel and Kalyway's 10.5.1 on it as my primary OS. Things were pretty smooth until a BIOS update came from Intel. I updated the BIOS and decided to reinstall OSX (did not try to boot it ). Kalyway's DVD gave me a missing file error and did NOT boot. However, I was lucky to have found the old BIOS again and restored. Now my system is running as smooth as before. I am pretty new to OSX, so please tell me what is happening. Thanks a lot! PS: I recommend all to NOT update it.
enb14
I've updated to that newer bios and I lost my sound so I don't recommend to update to the bios released on january 2008 (DPP3510J.0372.2008)
hecker
Yup, a similar thing happened to me. Don't update your BIOS if it isn't 100% necessary.
spoom
Same here. I've updated my MSI 945gcm5 V2 motherboard and I lost everything. Can't boot to MAC OS and can not boot from DVD to make a new install. Can anybody help me with older bios file, 'cause there is no single bios file on MSI web site. Only live update :-( Thx
dashaund
Same here. Dang, I thought reading this thread would help me out. Make sure your SATA settings are correct (IDE or ACHI, whichever you use...ACHI here). I lost my sound as well. The update does make ACHI a little faster, so I'm hopping a patch comes out soon to fix the audio.
