cheeseboy2010
Hey everybody. I'm planning to buy a MacBook later this year and I had an important question. I'm planning on upgrading to 4GB ram for virtualization. I know Apple ram is way over priced and I was planning to get this ram from Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231160 The question is, will installing this RAM void my warranty/AppleCare? My friend has a macbook and he says it will, but I think he is wrong. Is it just a case of getting Apple certified ram? If so, is the above ram certified? cheeseboy2010
Nevermind. I found the answer myself on another forum. Would've been nice to get a little feedback though. skyhighmac
Installing and using the RAM wont void your warranty, but if the ram happens to do damage to your logic board, then you are out of luck.
