monmon
Hey everyone, please help me out.. After successfully installing and following all the guides available here, my Leopard suddenly doesn't boot anymore. I think the problem is caused by the Video card.. After the Mac loading process, the screen turns black. So I guess Video card is the problem here. I tried each video card driver available in the Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 installation disc but I still have no luck. Please, I know someone here already experienced the same problem as mine, help me out because I really want to use Leopard once again. mtotho
lol. Dont use the stuff from the disk. Go into my GIgabyte guide and install some of the nvidia drivers i have their. The install will work and u will be able to boot into leopard without any drivers from the disk.. it will just be crappy resolution. monmon
Yeah, I followed your tips. I installed the 10.5.2 NVinject Installer. But when I installed that I received black screen after reboot. monmon
Yeah, it worked before I install the driver. But the graphics is mediocre, I can't use time machine. skredii
Ok you gotta be patient! It's really weird! It boots with the apple logo, then the screen turns black, on no signal, then after 2 minutes of black screen, Leopard is loaded and CI/QE working! Any idea why it happens and how to avoid this? Dan Druff
I had a similar problem with my ATI X1600 Pro on AGP, until I updated my kernel to the 9.2.0 - speedstep only version (see netkas.org for that) I had to wait around 1-2 min until the log screen appeared, with CI/QE functionnal. If you haven't updated your kernel, it could be a good idea, if you had, well... I can't help you...
