masterofallchief
1.8 GHZ 512 MB 40GB Hard drive 32MB Radeon Card Intel Centrino CPU These are the specs on the laptop. When I go do the installtions 1. I Partition the Harddrive GUID I have also tried MBR 2. I continue the installation and cutomize it by choosing the Vanilla Kernel SS3 Video Drivers that use the ATI Boot Loader GUID first and I have also tried MBR Then I do the installation it completes succesfully, but when I reboot the system it just stays and the harddrive just keeps moving and a flashing cursor on the side. So if anyone can help I really appriciate it tremendously.
Alex7575
your CPU is a SSE2 cpu, don't select SSE3 or Vanilla. Also don't select anything besides SSE2 and EFI (mbr or guid) that's it. Worry about installing the drivers after you can boot into Leo.

masterofallchief
ok I just choose SS2 and Boot Loader MBR and it installs succesfully, but another issue it boots and my harddrive is lit and the cursor is just blinking on the left top corner and does not do anything
Alex7575
Did you partition your drive as MBR or GUID, remember if you have a MBR partition you need to use the EFI MBR, and if you partitioned your drive as GUID, EFI GUID. Keep trying, I did for a year, and finally got mine done. Oh, and it's worth it once you get it to work...

masterofallchief
just went step by step as you told me I gues I miss a step. Question for you can I install any apple software on this machine?
Alex7575
Yes, at least most, i think they have to be either Intel or Universal, so as long as it's not PPC you should be ok (I don't even think they make ppc macs anymore)

Donjuant
I'm having almost the same problem, I cannot have the wireless card since it looks like I need the driver or somthing. another thing that is happenig is that the machine freeze up after not using it for a while; also looks like I need to install a better driver for my video card which is the same as the one mention on the hardware list that master posted. thanks
