I have installed using the JaS patch on the 10.4.3 (8f1111) DVD. Everything seems to work ok exept I don't have a USB keyboard to proceed. (Used a USB mouse to install)

Now, I would just use a USB keyboard and mouse, but this is a laptop. I have done some googleing and looking around on this forum but to no avail. I've tried hacked versions of the ApplePS2Controller.kext as well as the originals and the ones from Darwin (8.01).

The Laptop is a Gateway M4520GZ (yes, I know, a Gateway, but it's all I can afford, hence the reason I don't have a Mac) and features an Intel Pentium M 705 (1.5 GHz)

When I boot into a shell using the install dvd it gives me an error saying that it timed out waiting for the keyboard input stream, or something to that effect.

Like I said before, everything else seems to work ok, but given that I can't boot beyond the message to connect a keyboard, I can't really tell if much else other than graphics is functioning.

Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance.

PS. I'm new to Mac, but I'm a hard core Linux user (Gentoo Linux to be precise) so I'm not afraid of CLI. Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer, or I would have developed a new kext to fix this.
