agrafuese
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question (might re-post in another forum category too), but... Does anyone have or know of a definitive guide that lists all of the main kexts in OS X and explains what they do? For example, AppleSMBIOS.kext - I know that you need the proper version of it to keep the Adobe CS3 programs from crashing, but why? And what is its main purpose other than that? So basically, I am looking for a guide that explains all of the main system kexts in that manner. Ideally it would be something that developers would reference, etc. Sorry if this is kind of vague, but I am looking to learn more about the inner workings of OS X without having to run a search in these forums for every single kext and sort through the endless threads of people troubleshooting their systems, haha. Maybe a bit lazy of me, but I'm sure anyone would understand not wanting to do that. No worries if a guide like this doesn't exist, just curious really, so don't flame me Thanks, agra Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85389-kext-guide/ Share on other sites
